General Information

Insurance period – 10 years, from Dec. 2013 – Nov. 2023.

Coverage is automatic when you join and is effective once you provide your details of coverage.

WIX will fully fund the premium for you. You will join the policy automatically and will not be required to fill out a health questionnaire in the first 90 days..

Your family members can join WIX policy, paid by the employee and will not be required to fill out a health questionnaire in the first 90 days.
Who is eligible?
Coverage is available to:
-
Regular full-time and part-time employees..
-
Spouses (including same-sex spouses and domestic partners who are declared on the 101 tax form) up to age 67.

Dependent children up to age 25 (including adopted children and a spouse's children from a previous marriage).
Qualifications
Qualifying period:

For existing medical problem – the insurance will be valid after the first 12 months of the insurance.

For new medical problem – the insurance will be valid after the first 30 days of the insurance.

For pregnancy tests – the insurance will be valid after the first 180 days of the insurance.
-
Any claim regarding to pregnancy or fertility isn’t covered besides regular pregnancy tests.
Premiums & Tax

Employee – 51 NIS (funded by the Employer)

Spouse, adult children (above the age of 25) – 51 NIS (funded by the Employee)

Children (up to the age of 25) – 18 NIS (funded by the Employee). Third child and onwards in the family – free.
Your health plan coverage is considered a benefit in kind.
Wix is required to take tax on the value of your coverage.
You will see the benefit reflected on your monthly pay slip for the employee premium costs.
Leaving Wix
When you leave WIX, you may purchase a private medical policy from the insurer, with a 30 percent discount for five years, and 10 percent thereafter for the entire lifespan of the policy from the applicable tariff of the insurer at the time, without having to fill out a health questionnaire (when you purchase the same coverage you had while employed at WIX).
To be eligible for continued coverage, you need to be at least one year at WIX and up to the age of 70 and request to transfer to private insurance within 60 days of your last day of employment.
